Modi Event 2015
4th March 2016
An impressive community reception was organised for the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The grand reception and the momentous event took place at Wembley Stadium on Friday, 13th November 2015. Over three hundred children chosen across a few schools performed both the British and Indian National Anthems in the presence of the right honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister David Cameron. Eighty of
The Swaminarayan School pupils took part in the welcoming ceremony. Theirs was the last performance before the speeches of the Prime Ministers, which they sung with gusto and heart, after which many of our pupils met both the Prime Ministers. David Cameron’s comment about the Swaminarayan School that it is “A very, very great school” was appreciated by the whole community! He had clearly been briefed about the fine work The Swaminarayan School does and its excellent inspection report.
