Excellent Performance in External Results 2017

The Times listed TSS as the 4^th best performing co-educational independent school in England. The publication of the GCSE results of 2017 has delivered another superb year for pupils at The Swaminarayan School, in fact delivering the BEST GCSE RESULTS EVER. This is especially pleasing for a moderately selective intake, Some of the highlight figures include:

87.43% of the grades at A^-A & 9-7
Points per pupil of 98; equivalent to 12 A* grades per pupil;
100% of the grades at C or better.
100% of the grades at A^-C & 9-4

If government statistics are anything to go by than the Swaminarayan School is certainly one of the best schools in England. This year, a recent Independent Schools Inspectorate Inspection judged the school as excellent. In the 2015 League Table publication by the Department of Education, the school once again achieved the best performance score per pupil of 595 (national average 354) in the independent sector for the second consecutive year. This is equivalent to 10 A* grades per pupil – a phenomenal achievement by any measure. 100% of the pupils achieved 5 A*-C (national average 63.8). 93% of the pupils achieved the coveted English Baccalaureate which includes a combination of English, Mathematics, one science, one humanity and one language. The tables report an average grade A per pupil for the best eight GCSEs measured against the national average of C minus.

At A Level, the performance score was reported as 841.5 per pupil with an average per pupil of 238 points. It is the best performing score in Brent with 42% of the pupils achieving the national standard of AAB against a national average of 15%.

Headteacher Nilesh Manani said: “I am extremely proud of all the pupils who had worked very hard under the dedicated guidance of all the teachers who had sacrificed many hours of their holidays and given extra lessons to the pupils to lift their grades. The most pleasing aspect is the achievement of 93% for English Baccalaureate – one of the highest from all schools in the country. There is a culture of celebrating success in the school and it is clearly inspiring everyone to strive hard.”
